Our Work
in Action
Spotlighting Africa’s Trade Future
In partnership with ECOWAS and GIZ, we supported a bilingual training series in Dakar and Abuja on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA). Fifty journalists deepened their understanding of regional trade policies and sharpened their ability to report on cross-border economic issues with accuracy and clarity.
Changing the Narrative on Migration
Through a multi-year regional program on migration and media, we trained over 1,500 journalists and engaged 21,000 young people in eight countries. The program improved the quality and diversity of media coverage on migration while elevating informed public dialogue and countering harmful stereotypes.
Business and Human Rights Journalism
During the African Union’s 2022 Business and Human Rights Forum, we helped deliver a focused training program for journalists covering corporate responsibility. The workshop emphasized ethical storytelling, impact-focused journalism, and long-term engagement with human rights issues.

Safeguarding the Right to Information
As part of a regional conference led by Fesmedia Africa, we contributed to advancing access to information, media freedom, and digital rights across Africa. The gathering brought together activists, journalists, and civil society leaders to develop forward-looking strategies for ensuring public access to credible, inclusive, and rights-based communication.
